Hi,
What kind of heat protectant spray seems to work best? I don't use anything before flat ironing right now. I used to use Aveda Universal Styling creme. But does that really protect? Don't want to end up with fried hair.
Thanks.

- Hi, I flat iron my hair a few times a week, and it is so damaging to your hair that you really need a heat protectant and straightening serum that protects and also adds shine. I use Tresemme heat spray which is really working well for me, and biosilk serum. my hair is so dry and biosilk or the loreal serum thats in a orange pump bottle are the only things that actually make my hair feel "normal".#1; Mon, 17 Dec 2007 13:51:00 GMT

- Matrix Sleek Look Iron Smoother is great if you want a product that you can't FEEL in your hair. You can't even tell it's there, and it smells pretty good. I've really liked it. I agree that Biosilk is great to make your hair silky and soft as well! I recently bought the VO5 Miracle Mist and I also thought it worked well and didn't make my hair feel gross or anything. I definitely don't like Thermasilk.. it gave me TONS of buildup and made my hair feel dry!#2; Mon, 17 Dec 2007 13:52:00 GMT

- I use the Aussie heat protector + leave in conditioner. I was skeptical at first because I never liked their hairspray but it really works well. My hair always feels so soft after using it.

WE are basically using the same products because tresemme and vo5 are owned by the same company and have the exact same ingredients, they are just packaged in different bottles! :)

- I use a product by Ion called Straightening Iron Spray sold at Sally's Beauty Supply. It works good.#5; Mon, 17 Dec 2007 13:55:00 GMT

- I read an article that said Loreal Studio line has a product to use with flat irons, etc. Haven't seen it at my local discount store though.#6; Mon, 17 Dec 2007 13:56:00 GMT

Yes, they do have a product in the studio line, but it is nothing like the loreal antifrizz shine serum that they also sell, which is in a orange bottle. I have noticed that there are some stores that dont carry it, and i always buy mine at cvs or meijer.#7; Mon, 17 Dec 2007 13:57:00 GMT

- Yes, CVS also has the Loreal flat iron cream.. the one in the hot pink bottle with Beyonce in the ads. I bought it and it smells pretty good and seems to work well also! I do prefer a spray though so I don't get it all over my hands.. but whatever works.. it's no big deal anyway haha!#8; Mon, 17 Dec 2007 13:58:00 GMT
